The Writers' Prescription was formed to further the goal of nurturing writers through monthly meetings (the third Monday of every month) where community members can meet other writers and meet great speakers introducing important topics about writing and publishing! The meetings will be virtual for the foreseeable future. Our next meeting will take place on Monday, October 18th at 6PM. This month, we will welcome Meg Reid, director of Hub City Press, for her talk on Publishing 101. If you have questions about how to submit and publish your work, be sure to listen in!
Everyone is welcome, regardless of education, background, writing and publication history, or genre--we can support all writers in their goals.
We will be doing a little bit of everything. The group is here to help fill in the gaps any writer might have, whether it's how to workshop, how to submit work, or where to find the newest information about the literary community, and every other month we will feature speakers from the world of writing and publishing!
*Please note: We are rebranding Ink Bucket to our previous writers' workshop called Writers' Rx. This is also a place for writers to meet and talk about their work, but it will feature a special guest every other month who will talk to us about important aspects of writing and publishing! We hope you will continue joining us for these meetings, and they will continue to be held on the third Monday of each month. A schedule will be posted soon!
