Live and in-person on the Chapman Cultural Center stage, Ballet Spartanburg presents An Evening with Carlos Agudelo.
Exhibited in collaboration with the Hub City Writers Project, this event brings to life three critically acclaimed Hub City Press titles: The Wooden King by Thomas McConnell, Eureka Mill by Ron Rash, and The Iguana Tree by Michel Stone. This exclusive, one-night-only event will feature the choreography of Nelson Reyes, Iliyad Ilya Kozazayez, and Carlos Agudelo, using their interpretive artistry to translate page to page.
Join us on Saturday, March 26th at 7:30 pm for the Spartanburg premiere of this exciting new ballet, and stick around after the performance for a champagne and chocolate toast to congratulate Carlos Agudelo on a thirty-year career filled with passion, service, and artistry.
Copies of the books that inspired the choreography will be for sale before and after the performance.
