In the fast-changing world of social media, establishing an online presence as an author can feel overwhelming. This class will give authors an overview of how they can use social media to further their career goals by establishing a consistent personal brand across the major platforms while remaining safe online.

Kendra Winchester is a Contributing Editor for Book Riot. She is also the Founder of Read Appalachia, a podcast that celebrates Appalachian literature and writing, which received the 2023 e-Appalachian Award from the Appalachian Studies Association. Previously, Kendra co-founded and served as Executive Director for Reading Women, a podcast with Lit Hub Radio that received millions of downloads and gained an international following over its six-season run. She is currently editing an anthology of writing from disabled Appalachians, which is forthcoming from the University Press of Kentucky. Originally from Appalachian Ohio, Kendra now lives in the South Carolina upstate with her partner and their two Corgis.
